Edmund Hillary (a Sherpa from Nepal) and Tenzing Norgay (from New Zealand) were really the first people to reach the top of Mount everest in

1953. 

Some believe British climbers George Mallory and Andrew Irvine reached the summit before they vanished on the mountain in June 1924. They will always be remembered as  early Everest heroes.

Junko Tabei (from Japan) achieved her goal and became the first woman to reach the summit on May 16, 1975.

Blind American climber Erik Weihenmeyer reached the summit on May 25, 2001. Three years later, he climbed Everest again with a group of blind teenagers Tibet. 

Chinese enterpriser WangShi had twice staid on Summit.
